Welcome Home!

Over the course of the next few months, we will be continuing the transition back to our full in-person worship and discipleship ministries. In addition to our already open worship services, we will be restarting our Sunday School, Youth Group, and Wednesday Evening programs.

We are excited to announce that Emily Fleck will be opening our Youth Group Activities with an Ice Cream Social on Sunday August 8th at 6PM in the Youth Room. Recent graduates and friends are welcome to join.

Kathy Snyder is developing a multi-generational Christian life study which is based on the book of Proverbs to begin rebuilding our Sunday School ministry. Her Amazing Grace Class will begin on Sunday mornings with coffee at 9:00AM on August 15th.

Our “Journey Through the Bible” series continues August 4th at 7:00PM beginning a series on the book that was quoted by Jesus more often than any other in Scripture, the book of Deuteronomy.

Our group fellowships, Ladies’ Gathering and American Baptist Men, are reconnecting as well. Ladies’ Gathering has started meeting regularly on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM in the parlor. AB Men is coming back together through our fellowship breakfasts. Please keep checking in with us for upcoming details.

While I encourage all of our members to be cognizant of their safety, I am excited at the prospect of returning to more opportunities to fellowship together and share the blessings of being a true community of believers. While our Media Ministry continues to provide the church with a means of outreach to many outside of the St. Albans area, as well as a point of contact with our shut-in and more vulnerable members, the blessings of fellowship are truly found in the “gathering of ourselves together.”
